Reservations
Deposits
50% of the total course, charter, or rental fees are due at time of reservation. We will hold a spot for 48 hours without a deposit if the reservation is at least 30 days out. No reservations are confirmed until a deposit is received. The balance will be due 30 days prior to the start of the course, charter, or rental. Reservations made less than 30 days in advance require full payment at time of booking.
Cancellations
If cancellation occurs more than 30 days in advance, then the 50% deposit will be forfeited. Cancellations less than 30 days in advance will forfeit the total course, charter, or rental fees.
Rescheduling
Rescheduling is only allowed if the reservation is modified more than 30 days in advance. Rescheduling will incur a $100 service charge or 10% of the total course, charter, or rental fees, whichever greater. Rescheduling less than 30 days in advance is not allowed unless approved by a manager.

Weather
We take the safety of our passengers, captains, and yachts seriously. We will never endanger their safety and will always make prudent decisions when we are experiencing dangerous weather conditions. We will allow cancellations without penalty if the temperatures are predicted to be below 45 degrees, or if the winds are predicted to be more than 20kts sustained – not applicable to multi-day charters or classes. Classes and multi-day charters will be rescheduled in the event of a named storm or predicted winds more than 25kts. Single day/hourly private charters and rentals will be cancelled and refunded or rescheduled without penalty if it is lightning/ thundering/ heavily raining at the time of the charter. If its cloudy or drizzling, we do uphold reservations. Ultimately, we reserve the right to determine if the conditions are unsafe, and can cancel a course, charter, or rental at any time before or during if we deem that conditions are unsafe.
COVID-19
If the governor of South Carolina declares a state of emergency or imposes any lockdowns/restrictions on the water, we will give you the option to refund or reschedule.
Arrivals and Departures
Classes
Class times will run from 9:30 to 5:30 with some exception for wind, weather and tides. Liveaboard students should plan arrive at 9:00am the first day of class.
Private Yacht Charters
Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled charter time.
Bareboat Charters
Please plan to arrive at your scheduled checkout time to begin the checkout and chart briefing. A sailing resume must be completed and a thorough checkout/boat orientation must be performed with one of our captains prior to departure. Overnight guests arriving the day before departure may check-in between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. Checkout is at 11:00am after an overnight aboard our yachts.
Powerboat Rentals
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled rental time to handle the paperwork, chart briefing, and boat orientation.
Overnight Guests
Check-in times are from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Late check-ins will incur a $50 fee. Checkout time is 11am or earlier on your last day. Late checkouts are not allowed for any reason. If guests have not departed the yacht on time, a nightly rate will be charged.
